- Application Note 2: An epoxy pour needs a scuffed surface to hold onto, so give it a light sand first since it ships smooth, not pre-sanded. For a shortcut, the shop also carries a pre-sanded 20oz skinny that skips that step entirely.

A: No, the SS Fatty 30oz has no poly coating, it's raw stainless steel. It's built for vinyl, decals, laser engraving, UV DTF wraps or an epoxy build instead.
Q: What does the actual epoxy process on this tumbler look like?
A: Scuff the bare steel first so the epoxy has something to bite into, apply your glitter or design under a resin coat, then let it cure on a turner so it sets evenly instead of pooling on one side. A topcoat afterward protects the finish from daily handling.
