CREATE A SUBLIMATION GANG SHEET
Sublimation Transfer File Requirements: How to Prepare Your Artwork for Printing
Sublimation Transfer File Requirements
To print your Sublimation, DTF transfers, UV DTF transfers, or printed vinyl correctly, your artwork file must meet the following specifications before submitting your order. Incorrect file setup is the most common reason prints come back looking different than expected. Review every point before uploading.
Accepted File Format
PNG only. Do not submit JPG, PDF, AI, or PSD files.
Resolution
Minimum 300 DPI at print size. This is the industry standard for sharp, production-quality DTF printing. Files submitted below 300 DPI will produce blurry or pixelated transfers. Upscaling a low-resolution file does not fix this.
Background
Transparent background required. What is in your file is what gets printed.
File Dimensions
Set your artboard to the exact size you want printed. Do not add padding, borders, or extra artboard space around the design. Crop tightly to the artwork edges before exporting.
Orientation
Do not reverse or mirror your design. Submit the artwork as it should appear when worn or applied. Pressing Images does not flip files.
Transparency and Gradients
Avoid semi-transparent or translucent elements in your design. DTF transfers do not support partial opacity. Use solid fills only.
Minimum Line Width
0.5mm minimum for any line, stroke, or fine detail. Lines thinner than 0.5mm will not hold during printing or application.
Colour Accuracy
Pressing Images prints to the closest achievable match on our commercial DTF equipment. Exact screen-to-print colour matching cannot be guaranteed. Repeat orders may have slight colour variation between production runs. If colour consistency across batches is critical to your business, order sufficient quantity in a single run.
